Amboseli
Amboseli National Park is found in the southern region of Kenya just near the border of Kenya and Tanzania. The park lies just a few kilometers from the Namanga border town which is used to cross from Kenya to Tanzania and vice versa. The immigration formalities at the Namanga border take little time in comparison to the other borders and are hence preferred as a crossing point.
Amboseli gives a spectacular view of Mt.Kili despite being in Kenya and Kilimanjaro being in Tanzania. The location for a good view in Tanzania is at Moshi town. Mt.Kilimanjaro views can best be observed during early mornings and late afternoon when the sky is clear of dust, relish evening game drives and early morning game drives these make for the opportune times to see this majestic mountain. However, if you don't get a sight of it no worries because even professional photographers spend long hours and many months to get that one picture-perfect view of the Kili.
Amboseli park is famous for large herds of elephants that are drenched in the swamps. Animals that can also be spotted include gazelle, buffalos, Burchell's zebra, Grevy gazelles, warthogs, some resident wildebeest due to the migration. The big five are also dominant with the exception of the rhinos. The best time to visit Amboseli National Reserve would be during the dry season June to October, this season animals would not hide in the thin vegetation. Long rains are in November, short rains in April and May, due to climate rains pattern change from time to time however game viewing is possible throughout the year.
